Homemade Caprese Alfredo Pizza

You guys. You may want to hold onto your hats, because what I'm about to share with you will rock your world.  Like, to the core.

I made this pizza the other day, and it blew my freakin' mind. And my husband's mind. And we proceeded to gobble the entire thing up in about 10 minutes. So now I am sharing it with you! Aren't you glad? You're so welcome.

Caprese Alfredo Pizza, aka your new dream in life.

- 1 cup of creamy white sauce. Want a healthy option? My Cauliflower Alfredo is sort of to die for.
- 2 chicken breasts, boiled and shredded
- 1 generous handful of fresh basil, julienned.
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled mozzarella, feta or bleu cheese.

(Preheat your oven to 375 degrees)

1. Treat your chicken. I put my cooked, shredded chicken in a hot saute pan with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

2. Roll out dough onto your pizza pan of choice. We use this one.

3.  Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, spread white sauce out along the crust. Add more than 1 cup if you want, this was just an estimate.

4. Evenly top pizza with chicken, tomatoes and shredded cheese.

5. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. Switch your oven to the broiler setting for three minutes for a nice golden brown crust. (I broiled mine for five minutes and the crust came out darker than what I was hoping for, so I'm recommending three.)

6. Top pizza with julienned basil, crumbly cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!

Are you hungry yet?
