Holiday Party Wear

| Top: Forever 21 (old) | Belt: H&M | Skirt: H&M | Necklace: H&M (old) | Shoes: Thrifted |

Ah, the holidays! This little holiday party number was thrown together very last minute after my in-laws cat decided to jump into my suitcase and distribute her hair all over the black dress I'd originally intended to wear. I'm pretty happy with the result and will probably repeat the outfit a few times later on into the month.

Now that I'm returning to the states where an H&M doesn't sit on every street corner, I just might actually add some variety to my wardrobe. I just can't help myself when they are everywhere and the prices are always so dang low. Who can resist those deals? And with the proper styling, even the most affordable clothes can look expensive and fabulous. Who says chic has to cost us an arm and a leg?

Oh, and in case you're wondering if I caught pnemonia while taking these pictures, I think I survived! We were outside for five minutes at the most before rushing inside for more hot chocolate and holiday tunes.

Um I bet - my jacket got taken the other night and I had to walk home in just a sweater in the snow, pretty much died. Looks super cute though!

Stopping by from Pleated Poppy and loving your holiday style! It's so elegant and ladylike, and the yellow is fun and unexpected for this time of year. Love that it's chic for cheap too.

And that snow - what an idyllic spot for a photoshoot!

I was wondering if you were freezing for the sake of these pictures. :) Well worth it though, the outfit is great. I have a holiday party tomorrow that I'm still trying to pick an outfit for.

This is such an adorable outfit! After reading this post, I turned to my co-worker and said, "I'm sorta becoming obsessed with Mormons... they just make modest look so darn good!" Rocking it lady :)

I was genuinely wondering if you would live through such a photoshoot. I recently took anniversary pictures with my husband--I was wearing my wedding dress and it was 30 degrees out, and it was the quickest photoshoot ever, I assure you!
You got some awesome pictures, though!
