Christmas Market in Marburg, Germany

Christmas Markets! I can think of nothing more fun, festive and representative of the holiday season here in Germany. Perusing the many little stalls (could they be any cuter?) in search of yummy treats and wonderful handmade products while sipping hot cocoa or traditional German Christmas drinks like Gluewein or Kinderpunsch is my idea of fun.  Last Christmas I believe I went to at least five different Christmas markets in three different countries. This year, I only had time for one. Steven and I spent a few hours in the always beautiful Marburg, Germany to enjoy the Christmas Markets there.

I am heading back to the US tomorrow. Can you believe it?  I know it won't be my last time in Germany but I can't help but feel this tight clenching in my chest as I think about leaving everything I've known for nearly two years behind.  There are just so many bittersweet feelings, I'm not even sure how to put it into words. I'm so happy we had the chance to take part in some German Christmas traditions before we left. Boy will I miss this place.

Can't believe you are leaving tomorrow! Even though it's bitter sweet, I know that there are great things ahead for you and Steven in the US :) Luckily, you will always have a great weekend to visit Germany! Safe travels my friend!

It looks amazing...we don't really have a lot of Christmas markets in Pretoria...then again it is so hot that we would melt in the sun if we did.

Safe travelling mercies and may this next chapter in your story be a blessed one!!

Oh I miss the Weihnachtsmärkte in Germany. Wish they weren't as expensive, but I usually end up with a cup of Glühwein...and take it home. Hahaha!

Safe travels!!!

Can't believe you're leaving! Safe travels. I love those Christmas markets -- I have never actually been to one in Germany BUT I have seen pictures from so many friends that I just know I love them. Chicago actually has a pretty decent one, I'm headed there on Thursday. Again, safe travels, have a nice trip home!

It looks so beautiful and much more Christmas-y than Los Angeles feel in the Christmas season!
