Cozy Wear

Sweater - SheInside, Scarf - Knit by my mother, Pants - Vero Moda, Bracelets - Forever 21, Rings(Index Finger) - Six, Purse - Segolene Paris (Similar here), Coat - H&M, Socks - C&A, Boots - Kohls (Similar Here.)

This sweater was an impulse buy at SheInside, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the purchase once it (finally, after over a month) arrived. If you take a look at it on SheInside here, the sweater appears to be super big, with extra long sleeves. I had plans on wearing this with warm, comfy leggings because I assumed the sweater would hang down past my butt. (It doesnt.) Also unlike the picture, the sleeves do not hang lower than the hem of the sweater and are actually too short for my arms so I need to roll them up. What gets me is that this sweater comes in "one size," so it's not even like I could have ordered a bigger one. Doesn't "one size" mean it's meant to fit all body types? Hm, maybe not.

I've decided I'm keeping it, because despite its deceptive presentation online I don't mind how it looks on me and it is super comfortable. I think I will pair this with mostly high-waisted things in the future so that the lack of length doesn't matter.

Oh well, I suppose this is just a testament to the risk that comes with making purchases online!
My mother sent me this scarf for my birthday. She is one of the craftiest people I know and knitted it herself - it is so warm and fuzzy, I sometimes just wear it around the house because it is so cozy and soft. Thank you mommy!

I can't believe that jacket/boot/scarf weather is already upon us. That came out of nowhere!

If I dressed like that I'd look funny so I am SUPER jealous you can!

I am also super jealous that cold weather and comfy close are near you...San Diego is doing nothing but playing games with my heart. I am hoping these heat waves have COLD DAYS connected at the end of them. *fingers crossed*

Didn't think to belt a trench with an actual belt. That's a great idea.

Love your up-do and outfit. I agree with you, the picture is deceptive. Yeah, shopping online gets me in that kind of trouble where the item is not as pictured. My online policy is to buy if the shipping and exchange is free.

I have to leave a comment just because of the whole Sheinside thing. I had a really bad experience ordering from this site. the dress I bought looked very different from what was displayed on the site, and the customer service lady was very uncooperative when I tried to return it. I'm weirdly happy to find someone else who had problems! and hey, at least you look super cute in that sweater despite the differences!

Looking cute as always, Daryl. The infinity scarf is a adorable. I hate being disappointed with online purchases! But if you feel any better, I think it works with this look! I especially think the seafoam green works for you!

The fit is what scares me most about online clothes shopping--it's hard enough to find clothes in stores that fit just right when you can try them on! And "one size" doesn't make much sense when it comes to clothing either...we're not all the same size!

I love your coat, though!

I had an online purchase surprise recently, too - I ordered two long-sleeve shirts; they looked normal and pretty colors in the pictures. The colors were true - but they were crop tops! That wasn't mentioned anywhere in the details and the photos did not look like crop tops. Bit of a bummer.

But this look is cute and seems so cozy! Glad your shirt ends up working, if in a different way than you planned. :)
