A Tuscan "Bucket List"

As you read this, I am on a plane! (Whoohoo!) Steven and I will be spending six glorious days in the Tuscan countryside. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. We're staying in a lovely B&B about fifteen minutes out of florence, up in the hills overlooking the city. Just pinch me.  As I'm writing this (in Germany) it is pouring rain and about 55 degrees outside. I like fall weather, but I'd take 80 degress and sunny over that any day.

I've put together a list of things I'd really like to do while we're there, but I'm not sure if we'll have time to get it all done. It is as follows:

1. Eat a ton of pasta. Duh.
2. Rent bikes and spend a few hours coasting around the countryside.
3. Go hiking in the hills.
4. Relax, take it slow and finally finish the book I started two months ago.
5. Take fabulously tacky tourist photos of the leaning tower of Pisa.
6. Visit Sienna
7. Eat more pasta.
9. Eat gelato once finished eating pasta.
10. Take an authentic Italian cooking class.

Have you ever been to Tuscany? Do you have restaurant recommendations, advice, other input? I'd love your help!

*sigh* Tuscany! A place I've always wanted to visit :-). I hope you have loads of fun, and now that I'm following along (found you via Megan), I can't wait to see your photos when you return!

I had the most romantic trip to Tuscany with my then boyfriend - amazing. Restuarants-you don't need recommendations-there will not be a bad one! Did all of your bucket list apart from the cookery class-that would be great.

Please go to siena! Lived there last summer and it was truly the best time in my life ever. Go to super panna for gelato and la finestra behind the piazza del campo for a really nice grilled chicken dish. If youncannfind it, try the tea room for after dinner drinks :) let me know if I can help!

I think my hubby and I may try to take a trip to Tuscany (specifically Sienna and Florence) over the Thanksgiving weekend. Did you all rent a car while there? And I assume you flew into Pisa? Was it fairly easy to find your way around? Thanks!

Great pictures! I have been browsing the internet and planning a trip to Italy when I came across your page. How much does a Tuscany Villa Rental typically cost? I am looking for a villa that is close to an area with a lot of things to do and a decent nightlife.

Amazing photos! Villas for Rent in Tuscany are the perfect way to stay. I took the whole family down last season and it was a fantastic time!
