Barcelona Thus Far

I have learned a lot since I've arrived in Spain.

1. In Barcelona, Arriving at a restaurant for dinner at 11:30 PM is normal, if not expected.
2. It is also normal, if not expected, to sleep in far past what would be deemed "acceptable" in Germany or the United States. I could be exaggerating slightly about this though, seeing as we're on vacation and sleeping in seems to be a given.
3. Paella is a gift from the Gods.
4. Spanish Gothic Cathedrals may just blow Notre Dame out of the water. Sorry Paris.
5.  Shopping for groceries in open air markets trumps grocery stores every time.
6. True love is found in Barcelona. True love of Coconut Pistachio Fudge Gelato.
7. No matter where you are, vacation and adventures are ALWAYS more fun with family.

More photos and information coming soon!

Hello! Came across your blog via The Shine Project. What a beautiful post - Barcelona is one of the top five places to visit. Love your blog name, by the way.

Daryl, your pictures are beyond amazing! How do you edit them because I love their vintage look? Barcelona is probably one of my absolute favorite cities in Europe. Granted I haven't been to many, but it kind of has the perfect lifestyle, especially for a night owl like me. And the architecture is beyond breathtaking. And I could live in La Boqueria market knowing that I would never starve and would be absolutely happy living off of everything they have there. Because really they have everything. Can't wait for more pictures! :)

I just found your blog and I love it!! I used to live in California too but my family and I just moved to Spain two months ago (I'm a youngster, 17). We live 4 streets from La Sagrada Familia so I loved your pictures of Spain! I love your style and your voice and I'm slightly jealous that you're headed back to the mother land soon. Even though I love Spain and Europe, California will always be a part of me
