It's time for the second installment of our weekly feature, designed to connect readers with other great blogs!
Here this week is Ana from The Recordologist, giving us a tour of Newport, Rhode Island! I remember visiting Newport when I was younger - I was left completely in awe of the breakers mansions...and the sea food was incredible!

Hi friends, I am Ana and from the recordologist, and I am more than thrilled to be here.
I am a Caribbean girl living in the small state of Rhode Island. I could share a gazillion reasons of why I love the Caribbean, but there are also many reasons why I love this little State, and because of my love for Rhode Island -I am going to give you a tour of my favorite town, Newport.
Visiting historic Newport always feels like traveling back in time. Seeing bubbly tourists, new lovers and pretty boys is always fun, but making up my own stories as I walk around the mansions with my camera in hand is priceless, and gives me a feeling of complete ecstasy.
I love walking around the mansions and re-living the history hidden in each of them. I love imagining the gentlemen in the 1920s, the ones who used to ride long hours in carriages just to step outside the front garden of their damsel. I love thinking about the so many children who played on those fields, but my heart melts as I think of the many who lived in captivity, the many who created the history behind each wall, the many who died during the slave trade era, and the many who are now buried in those beautiful gardens I love losing myself in.
