A Long Walk Home

I love spring time. Having spent the majority of my life in Southern California I've never really experienced it in it's entirety - SoCal sort of mashes it's spring and summer together, and flowers bloom all year round. It is so exciting for me to see the earth literally waking up and coming alive again. There is so much color here: greens and yellows and purples, so vibrant and happy and gorgeous. Don't get me wrong - I am seriously out-of-my-mind excited for summertime, but Spring...well, it's special and perfect in its own way.

I love all of these but the 2nd to last picture is my favourite. I've never seen that tree before (I don't think) so we took a bunch of photos of these when we were in Frankfurt lol. Dorky tourists to the max! :)

I agree with you, So-Cal just mashes it's spring and summer together with nothing to enjoy in between. I would love to see Spring in action with everything blooming and coming alive..The only thing that ruins its beauty is June Gloom. I am praying for none of that this year though, but I live in So-Cal so Its almost guarenteed to happen.

Your photos are amazing! Having a true winter where litteraly everything dies also makes you appreciate the Spring that much more. I think people come alive a little more too after breathing in the scent of fresh flowers.
