| Meat! Glorious meat. |
Thursday was a national holiday here in Germany, which means we were able to spend the day with Steven's family at their home in the countryside. I went on a long run in the morning, and I have to say nothing beats running there. Meadows, fields full of nothing but bright yellow flowers, forests - I even saw a mama and baby deer! In the evening we had a family barbecue out on the back porch - steak, bratwurst, roasted vegetables, and you can't forget the bacon-on-a-stick. Gosh, have I mentioned lately HOW MUCH I LOVE FOOD?!? Spending time with family was great and everything BUT THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD.

Oh my gosh, sounds like an amazing day! I love the view and am so jealous you got to run there today....i was on the treadmill. :(

Oh boy, I am going to my dad as soon as this comment is finished and tell him 100 times that we really NEED to do a bbq tomorrow. Haha! with bratwurst, ofcourse! x

Mm, looks yummy! Also in Germany currently, but alas, we didn't get Thursday off :( Public transit was so empty and everyone looked like they were having great time off
Looks gorgeous AND delicious. My hubby was in Dusseldorf a few months ago and he LOVED the meat...sent me pics of his meal in old town. It looked divine!

Their home looks like it's in the most perfect little German village... and also the perfect place for a jog, must be so gorgeous! The food looks amazing too :)

Germany has so many dang national holidays, but I absolutely love it due to the whole no work/bbqing excuses!
