There’s something about the ocean. Do you know what I mean? It is vast and powerful and mysterious. It, unlike so many other things in life, seems to go on forever. On Monday, I drove up the Pacific Coast Highway with a friend to eat greasy seafood at Neptune’s Net and enjoy the fabulous California weather. For over an hour after eating we soaked up a few rays and watched the surfers take on the waves. It was relaxing and blissful.

I’ve never learned to surf, but having lived in California the majority of my life, I know I probably should have. I may put it on my list of things to do before I die. Then again, it seems like it would be pretty scary! Ah!
